Polar Engineering Group

Research activity of polar engineering group are polar regions logistics engineering and development of earth exploration robot. The logistics support for research project in the polar regions use every branch of knowledge, including science and technology studies and domestic science. Logistic activities extend from the transportation of materials to support for all aspects of living, and sometimes the means of observation. Logistics technology in the polar region poses many problems that require future study. A current study items of polar engineering group are as follows.

  • a) Hybrid system with a small wind turbine and a basic power supply line
  • b) Earth exploration robot with decision-making capabilities
  • c) Sleigh for new transportion system
  • d) Jack-up type building for installation on ice sheets e)Tractor type snow vehicle
