The Second Symposium on Polar Science will be held at National Institute of Polar Research (NIPR), Japan from 14 to 18 November 2011 together with the Annual Symposium on Space and Upper Atmospheric Sciences, Polar Meteorology and Glaciology, Polar Geosciences, Polar Biology, and Antarctic Meteorites.

Polar Region is a key area for the study of global change, and multidisciplinary and/or interdisciplinary studies are required to understand complicated feedback system of polar region as well as global Earth system. The Symposium on Polar Science has initiated last year to promote multidisciplinary and/or interdisciplinary studies in polar region. The symposium theme of this year is "The Front Line of Ice Core Studies".

We are looking forward to your contributions.

Venue:
The symposium will be held at National Institute of Polar Research (NIPR) or National Institute for Japanese Language and Linguistics (NINJAL). National Institute for Japanese Language and Linguistics locates close to National Institute of Polar Research.
