The Third Symposium on Polar Science will be held at National Institute of Polar Research (NIPR), Japan from 26 to 30 November 2012 together with the Annual Symposium on Space and Upper Atmospheric Sciences, Polar Meteorology and Glaciology, Polar Geosciences, Polar Biology, and Antarctic Meteorites.
Polar Region is a key area for the study of global change, and multidisciplinary and/or interdisciplinary studies are required to understand complicated feedback system of polar region as well as global Earth system. The Symposium on Polar Science has initiated in 2010 to promote multidisciplinary and/or interdisciplinary studies in polar region. The theme of the special session in this year is "New development of Arctic research".

Venue:
The symposium will be held at National Institute of Polar Research (NIPR) or National Institute for Japanese Language and Linguistics (NINJAL). National Institute for Japanese Language and Linguistics locates adjacent to National Institute of Polar Research.
