Guideline for creating abstracts
- Abstract should be a PDF file no longer than two pages on A4 sheet including figures, tables and references. Please submit your abstract using the form below.
- Please download the following sample abstract file (MS-word, Open Office and PDF files) for making your abstract. Be sure to submit your abstract PDF file _AFTER_ converting the file to (or saving it as) a PDF file (if necessary) and renaming the PDF file name by following the next explanation below.
- An abstract file should have a name,
- SC_FamilynameFirstname_N.pdf (if this is a new submission)
SC_FamilynameFirstname_N_vM.pdf (if this is to submit a corrected version) - where SC is a session code which you select as your first choice (among S, IA, IC, IM, IP, OS, OM, OG, OB, and OA described above). If you submit only one presentation, then N is 1. If you submit multiple abstracts (to any sessions), then N shows that this is your Nth submission. If you intend to submit a corrected version, add "_vM" where M is a version number of your abstract, say, _v2, _v3 etc.
- Margin
Upper margin: 20 mm
Lower margin : 20 mm
Right margin: 15 mm
Left margin : 15 mm - Space between the lines: fixed 14-point (approx. 4.9 mm)
- Font : Times New Roman
- Font size
Title: 12-point Bold
Authors: 10-point
Organizations: 10-point Italic
Main sentences: 10-point - Insert a blank line between title and authors, also between organization and main sentences.
Note: The abstracts will be open to the public via this symposium web site.
Abstract Sample Files
Name | Size | Comment | |
---|---|---|---|
Abstract samples (General except for Antarctic Meteorites session) | SC_FamilynameFirstname_N.doc | 46K | MS-Word |
SC_FamilynameFirstname_N.pdf | 141K | ||
Abstract samples (Antarctic Meteorites) | OA_FamilynameFirstname_N.doc | 30K | MS-Word |
OA_FamilynameFirstname_N.pdf | 113K |
** IMPORTANT ** If you use a file other than the PDF file, you need to convert it to (or save it as) a PDF file and also need to rename the file name to one described above _before_ submitting it. Thank you. **
