IASC Atmospheric working group (AWG) meeting was held on 20-21 March 2021 on web conference-style led by Dr. Steve Arnold, the AWG chair. The research activities of the current three AWG pillars were reported (MOSAiC: observation phase finished and has started the data analysis; PACES: a field campaign of air pollution in Fairbanks is scheduled in 2021-2022; YOPP: the final summit is scheduled in May 2022).

The main discussion at the meeting was to build a new AWG strategy and working plan. The priorities and topics are grouped under the three thematic pillars, i.e.;

1. Atmosphere-ocean-cryosphere coupling in the Arctic system.
2. Arctic Climate, Weather, and Predictability.
3. Arctic pollution, socio-economic and environmental change.

The discussion on this topic will continue to fit with the common national priorities and IACS strategic priorities, and to address the cross-working group approaches.
