Scopes

The phase VIII of the Japanese Antarctic Research Projects, centered on main scientific theme of “Exploring global warming from Antarctica”, has been initiated from 2010 and entered the latter half of the six year program. This session features keynote lectures on present status and future prospects of Antarctic research, presentations of research proposals from various scientific fields including interdisciplinary studies, and discussions toward next six year project of the Japanese Antarctic Research commenced from 2016.
