The National Institute of Polar Research, Japan, is seeking applicants for professor position in Biology Group, Division for Research and Education. The candidate is expected to promote monitoring and studies on biological oceanography in polar regions, especially in the Antarctic area, with the points of views on primary production and the oceanographic processes. The candidate is also expected to be experienced in field observations, to be capable of designing science plans of Japanese Antarctic Research Expedition with domestic and international researchers, and to contribute to better understanding of the role of polar oceans in the earth system.
