[S] Future plan of Antarctic research: Towards phase X of the Japanese Antarctic Research Project (2022-2028) and beyond.

Scopes

The phase IX of the Japanese Antarctic Research Projects, centered on the main scientific theme of “Investigation of changes in the Earth system from Antarctica” has been initiated from 2016 and entered the latter half of the six-year program. It is time to consider next phase X of the Japanese Antarctic Research Project (2022-2028) and beyond. This session features keynote lectures on present status and prospects of Antarctic research, presentations of research proposals from various scientific fields including interdisciplinary studies, and discussions toward next six years project of the Japanese Antarctic Research commenced from 2022.
