The 14th Symposium on Polar Science
Thank you to all participants!
The 14th Symposium on Polar Science welcomed 341 registered attendees, of whom 266 traveled to Tachikawa, Tokyo from 16 countries. It was a great pleasure to host 180 presentations across 7 sessions. Notably, 39% of the abstracts were identified as contributions from Early Career
Scientists (ECS).
We thank all of you very much for your attendance and active contributions to this event, and we eagerly look forward to staying in touch. See you in Tachikawa, Tokyo in 2024!
Announcement in March 2023
The National Institute of Polar Research (NIPR) in Tokyo, Japan, is pleased to announce the 14th Symposium on Polar Science, taking place from November 14th to 17th*, 2023. This annual event, organized by the NIPR, offers a platform to showcase and foster a broad spectrum of polar scientific research and interdisciplinary studies. We warmly invite you to actively participate and look forward to your valuable contributions.

*Please be advised that, due to scheduling conditions, all sessions will conclude by November 16th. Consequently, there will be no sessions held on November 17th.
Presentation Style and Language Guidelines
The symposium will be conducted in-person, meaning participants are expected to attend at the physical venue. However, some sessions may be hosted in a hybrid format, combining in-person and virtual participation. Please stay tuned for future announcements regarding this possibility. Please note that the official language of the symposium will be English.
