This WS is to explore the direction that Japan's Arctic research should take in the future by bringing together researchers from different fields, including geosciences, cultural anthropology, and social sciences such as international law, to discuss the latest scientific findings on warming in the Arctic region, which is currently the most rapid process on Earth, and its global and regional impacts and challenges, through a bird's eye view and integrated discussions.
