The Arctic Sea Ice Forecast 2016 is a part of two international collaborative researches of the Arctic Challenge for Sustainability (ArCS) Project; Theme 1 (Predictability study on weather and sea-ice forecasts linked with user engagement) and Theme 5 (Study on Arctic climate predictability.)

As May 2016 set a new record low for the month for the period of satellite observations, many scientists are paying close attention to the daily Arctic sea ice extents. You can see the daily extents on the website of theme 8 (Arctic Data archive System (ADS), so please visit and see with your own eyes!
