Report on the fourth ArCS council meeting

The fourth ArCS council meeting was held on Monday, 26th November 2018 at National Institute of Polar Research, Tokyo.

At the meeting, presentations were given on activities and outcomes of each program, which had been made since the last meeting. And then, the participants, consisting of the council members, Project Director and Sub Project Directors of ArCS, and Principal Investigators of each program, exchanged opinions on matters toward the last year of the Project; e.g. importance of publishing and sharing of the data obtained by researches and observations, effective way to spread the results of the Project to the public, and etc. 

The ArCS council meeting is continuously held as a unique opportunity where the council, consisting of Arctic experts in the wide fields of industry, news media and academia, reviews important matters for the direction and management of the project, and gives advice from the perspective of research needs based on social issues.
