Report on The 2023 Arctic Circle Assembly

2023 Arctic Circle Assembly took place in Harpa Concert Hall and Conference Centre in Reykjavík Iceland, October 19-21, and more than 700 speakers in over 200 Sessions participated.

After the keynote speeches listed below, more than 200 sessions discussed topics such as scientific and political cooperation in the Arctic, security, and the role of indigenous peoples, young people, and gender equality, the topic of Asia was attracting attention, and former President Grimsson, who is the chairman of the conference committee, was also very interested.

Ideas and initiatives for China, Korea, India and China were discussed in multiple sessions. Furthermore, topics on Greenland and the mountainous regions such as Himalayas are increasing. Commercial fishing limits in the Central Arctic Ocean are discussed every year.
